Biography
A native of Nebraska, Dr. Drozda graduated from Creighton University in Omaha with a Bachelor's degree in psychology. He completed Master's and Ph.D. degrees in clinical psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia and his clinical psychology internship at the University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and the Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center in Columbia, Missouri.
He served on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps with assignments as a clinical psychologist in Okinawa, Japan and at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Following his military service, Dr. Drozda entered private practice in Kansas City. Later he moved his practice to Oklahoma City where he also served as a psychological consultant to a community mental health center and as a member of three hospital staffs.
Since relocating to the Denver area in 1987, Dr Drozda has served in clinical and administrative positions at area health maintenance organizations, a general hospital, and residential treatment programs for youth. He has consulted with physicians, attorneys, organizations, schools, and churches. He has been a licensed psychologist in the State of Colorado since 1988.
Dr. Drozda has taught in undergraduate, professional, and graduate psychology and counseling programs at several universities, including the University of Maryland and currently at the University of Phoenix.
He has been active in organizations and activities devoted to supporting families, youth, and couples.
